Webspace and Data Transfer

Webspace
Webspace is where your web pages are stored, along with your web pages all iteams associated with them are also stored. These include your images, files used for downloads and style sheets etc.

Data Transfer

What is Data Transfer?

Every time someone visits your website they will use some of your data transfer allowance. For example if one of your pages is 10 kilobytes in size (KB) and the images contained on the paged are 90 KB then if someone visits your page they will use 100 KB of data. Your data transfer allowance is in gigabytes (GB) this translates to:

1 GB = 1000 MB
1 MB = 1024 KB

If you have 1 page (including images) of a 100 KB in size and you have 1000 vists to your page in a month your data transfer for that page will be:

100 KB X 1000 = 100000 KB or 98 MB

Please note that websites with large image files or files which can be download will increase your data transfer usage
